Normally we survey the space and come up with a plan but we understand that we may not get the chance to do so in this case. Do you already know where you will be moving to?
Internet and phones are the most important followed by cabling and office furniture. Depending on the area/building you can have internet up and running in a few days. Keeping Comcast would be ideal so that you don't have to port your phone lines to another service provider. Worst case scenario we setup a temporary hotspot for internet and use a cellular line to forward the main line to while we wait for service to be setup. Sometimes there is existing cabling or a previous internet connection that we can piggyback on. That would be fantastic.
In the event that the office is not cabled it would be helpful to have a cabling contractor on deck for when we need them. If you know of any low-voltage or cabling vendors that have previously worked with JPT at a fair price, we should get in touch with them so that they can be ready when we need them. If not, we can help find a cabling contractor. Some buildings keep a list of approved or internal vendors who can provide us with a quote. We can also ask Harry the phone system guy if he does that kind of work or if he knows anyone that does.
Regarding the move itself, we can assist with moving the computers and servers and have it ready by move in date, but we do charge for that service ($120 per hour per technician). We can also just move the more sensitive equipment, such as the server and the network devices and the computers can be moved by your team. Whatever is best for you.
